Sukhdev,

Have you already sailed the new FRB4 en 5 Hurricane's? They are up at the site now so maybe you tested the proto's?

Sukhdev,

Apparently you know someone who has sailed them FRB3, 4 or 5)?
Would you mind sharing how to reach him or her?

Menno, the "hear" was from Otmar himself. He is very upfront with his fins, in one case he turned down a particular order from me and suggested something else cos he didnt like the performance of that particular product himself for the conditions I intended to use it.

In an email he mentioned he feels the FRB4 is faster but retains good upwind, foil on frb4 is thinner than frb2.

Hi Menno

I was the first lucky owner of a FRB2 since 18mths ago. I owned a FRB2-70Med. At that time OTMAR from Hurricane recommends this fin because is all round for control and upwind ...

If you equate the fin as the other half of the wing. The good part of this fin it twist easily at the tip and does not bent. This sounds similar to a good race sail and that has a free leech that exhaust and with a stiff enough mast to maintain stability. Some better sailors tried and like it too. Hard to find a good fin that cost a little more than production but has the performance of a custom.
