Hello Weathermen,
I just know some of you can tell me....
I need the wind statistics for East coast Malaysia. Kuantan preferably.
Say the last year, 3 years, 5 years etc.
I really am too busy to search the interweb !!!
Many thanks.

the last time you asked this was  15 years ago and siang (remember him?) went and purchased the lot from the Met office, a 2 inch thick binder that went back 10 years for the whole peninsula. dont know any other way. last i heard it was available on CD etc.

If you are poor, full of energy and have a broadband connection, you can always browse and extract the data "day by day" from  wunderground's history data (not sure how far back their data goes though).

Somehow I got the impression from earlier posts that you didn't belive in forecasts and statistics...

Ah..the joys of the interweb !
But where did i put that binder from the Met office ??!
Ulf, its  not so much I dont believe in them more a case of "no such thing as a bad day at the beach".
IJ, its howling here and I'm missing the event in Christchurch this w/e....getting a house finished for the great unwashed.
Still, I'm off to Taiwan again......see you there ?
Perfect place for the fuller figure !

K-21, Taiwan is a good destination.
Wind history has been quite good, last week was sunny and windy on the north coast.
