So you want wind? 44 knts on our East Coast Beach!!!at 0955hrs for 20mins and unsailable with even the smallest sail of 4.5m and 72Litr wave board.Finally when the wind drops below 30knts, I managed to water start and was flung straight to the gate of the Goddess of mercy, for once I remembered there's God.Cheers to my fellow sailors who sailed, got raped and survived.Dont complian of no wind in Singapore!!.You got to be there.

Ya, this must be the BIGGEST storm ever recorded in Singapore.
First 2 runs were fun on my 6.7m2 (the one and only sail) and 90L board. Thereafter, took me 5 min to beach-start, as the board and sail were flying all over. Managed another 4 runs hanging on for my dear life, no fancy gybe, only chicken tacks and many up-hauling. Another 2 runs were urgly, hands and legs opened big big.... can not even sheet-in! Gave up finally when the rain came in with more wind!!!!
Can anyone varify 44 knots ? Was told some PA guys measured it ?
Anyway, not much fun sailing in such condition, but happy to be there, even got raped upside down......
