FIRST CATEGORY WARNING
WARNING ON STRONG WINDS AND ROUGH SEAS
IN THE COASTAL WATERS OF THE EAST COAST OF PENINSULA AND SABAH

Strong northeastly winds of 40-50 kmph are expected to occur over the coastal waters of the East coast of Peninsula and Sabah from Sunday afternoon (8/12/2002) and are expected to continue till Saturday night (14/12/2002). Rough seas with waves up to 3.0 meters are expected to occur in the coastal waters of the East coast of Peninsula and Sabah throughout the period.
This condition of strong winds and rough seas is hazardous to small boats.

Check out the daily weather chart.  weather chart - wind and wave

Have found this daily chart reasonable accurate over the past year when considering overall daily wind in Singapore (i.e. not considering thunderstorms and other shorter gusts).

The stuff way up in NE needs to come a bit closer before we get any fun here in Singapore though...
