To all our friends and fellow sailors and kiters, Peter and I would like to say a big 'Thanks' for coming by and enjoying the fun we had at Mana Mana.

After 11 years at Mana Mana we have both left effective from the 31 March. It's never easy leaving after being in such a positive environment but it's time to move on. We wish the resort well.

We leave the place with some fond memories, especially shared with the core group of die hard sailors and lately the kiters too.

Peter is going to just chill for a while and travel and enjoy some surfing and kiting before deciding what to do. His offer for a posting in  Pulau Sumba is really tempting. Awsome waves, diving and fishing not to mention windy too. Who knows he might just settle down and get a real job!!!!!

Anyone who might have jobs for two old aging beach bums do let us know.            We can cook, make beds and serve beer(drink more probably)and have fun.

I'm still on the island and all are welcome to visit if you're in Bintan. Indo mobile is 0813 64453444.

For any gear left at Mana Mana pls contact them directly and speak to Chris Newman. He'll be able to sort you out.

Loh, if you are reading this your longboard is still in front of the rooms.

Warmest regards.

best of luck guys, i'm sure you will be sorely missed, there are not many real watermen around but you two both qualify big time.

late evenings during the monsoon, sun setting behind the point, and a few of us out in the bay with you guys, some of the best sailing times i've had..very best wishes from me and cwg and thanks for all the good times we had in mm.

ps. beach bums don't age, they just get more mellow

Hi Jon, Ahloha has offered his long board to me, Need to place it at A 2 so that it can be used as a offering alter for offerings to the Nineth dragon king and the sea dragons family so that  all the sailors will be able to enjoy the NE monsoon wind safely.

It really has been a blast. Many thanks for the special moments; evening blasts with sun coming down over the point ala SS, blasts with no sun, dentures going off for sunset glass offs, dawn patrols, boat trips to shipwrecks and scoring nice  head high left and rights, boat trips to shipwrecks for knee high peelers, numerous saturday nights at the bar, 11 new year's eve parties, 11 amslams, etc, etc,...

taking pics with jason's 600mm  mirror lens 8 point something f stop, manual focus....

many thanks to all who have joined in the fun, the friendships, the mad escapades (running from clouds of sandflies emerging from the mangroves),  huey for the waves, fish, wind....... thanks not least of all to mana mana......

time to say good bye......

i am sure we will meet again on the water though......

pray for wind!!!!!!!

cheers
