waves, waves, waves and wind. The boys were powered up on 5.7s and 90 liter boards. So nice to see an old friend (northeast) pay an early visit.

Cheers

windy today.  wed & thursday were obviously just warmups for today. was overpowered on my 6.9

however the windmaps didn't give much indication of it...?.....

1 broken boom later & a bloody shin, but hopefully will be back on the water tomorrow.
It took an hour before a passing boat (one of the tenders for the Optimists) to rescue me -  why are the PA staff so reluctant to start their rescue boat?

You're right about the forecasts, they don't seem to show any wind. The funny thing is the forcasts also showed little wind (9 to 11 knots) for the last three days. Yesterday, showed 9 to 11 on my daily forcast but we had average of 15 knots with it hitting 20 knots on the beach for a short while.

Don't know if it will still be here on Monday but i have a feeling it will.

Cheers

I wish to correct what gwalio's comment on "why are the PA staff so reluctant to start their rescue boat?".

I have personnaly help three windsurfer who had equipment failure when they were out on the water. The PA staff responded to the call and reach the strandded windsurf in 10-15 mins.

Those tenders for Optimists are out there on the water most of the time, that is because they are teaching the boys and girls.

I believe the PA Staff deserve their due respect.

Still windy today. People on sails ranging from 5.7 to 6.9 and having fun.

So much for forecasts, you're right GW.

Cheers
