I think kitesurfing is a very nice complement to windsurfing.
Sails 3.6 + 4.0 + 4.5 + kites 8.0 + 14.0 cover 90% of my days on the beaches this year.

go get a lesson, you'll know whether the sport is for you right away and most importantly, you'll learn how to do it safe.
I agree with Jason, in 4.0m weather, its safer to windsurf

Hi surf/kite
we offer kite lessons at Mana Mana. We often conduct our lessons from boats which makes learning super safe for student as well as bystanders and other beach users.
If you do want to take up kitesurfing, DO take lessons. This is important.
Cheers

Hi Windsurfer, yes this is a windsurfing forum but the post asks about kitesurfing. What's so wrong about anwsering the question.
Isn't this the place to share info and help others.
Hope to have the chance to share the wind with you one of these days, when it's honking and we'll sail when the waves are pumping over in Bintan.

windsurfer, some civility please, there are better ways to express disagreement.
surf/kite, please contact pete directly, if you don't have his email contact me or you can contact him through the manamana website.
