just remembered something re end of monsoon.
K21 - what year was it? ships got blown onshore in Dungun, Chia and me couldnt launch at midday with a 5.0 (smallest we had) cos it was too strong. you turned up late evening and got your shorts washed off..last week in march if i remember..86? 85?
some of the old time malaysians may remember chia, small guy who used to sail with a backpack full of 2 liter Coke bottles filled with sea water to use as a weight jacket...kid you not (ask K21!).

2 ways to catch him
1.) Catch him @ the Singapore Idol in his Swimming Trunks or perhaps G-String as what he declared?
2.) Drop by at TC's corner in Pasta Fresca, Botak just loves to wear his black color swimming trunks hanging out there > Don't pray pray with him, Botak has a solid washboard for you to wash your G-String.

All true stories. Was that Chia Su Keong or another one ? He still sails in Oz (sukeongdesign.com - I think) Yes it was 85 or 86 and I slunk off from work in Trengganu, broke a land speed record getting to Balok for an hours sailing ! In fact, I did it most weekends. IT WAS END MARCH. I remember losing the shorts......must have been ugly for the school girls on the beach. Well, at least I dont have a spotty arse ! But you fail to mention the board....A long story about a (salvaged) container of COSTA boards. They were actually COBRAS destined for the Japs but the Japs could not pronounce the "R" hence COSTA. Cobbler just doesnt have the same ring does it ? A 260 RADICAL if i remember ? And still today the most efficient lightest, best designed and simplest foot straps u ever saw. Enough ! K-21

Before u all ask.....they were adjustable, with no velcro, no zips and no scews, clamps etc. I wonder if anybody who never saw them can figure out how that was possible ? K-21
