Looking at the rejional wind map for the next day, if the patterns looks good , there will be wind in the afternoon the day before, as the NE usually kicks in the afternoon and the forecast is for the next day morning. Any support for this theory of mine.

my guess is south west tomorrow, with light rain. we got a low sitting right over us and another forming to the south east. the current low should last another day, maybe dissipate by late PM tomorrow. if the one to the south east doesnt move north west then wind otherwise..ugh.

I have this half baked theory that the monsoon only settles in here when the sea surface temperature cools down. thats usually about 3 to 4 weeks after vietnam etc get wind. this then stops the endless "fried egg" lows from forming locally. my 0.02 cents anyway, thts why i think its worth looking at the surface temperature charts. ideal days seem to be with swell moving down the china sea from north east, lowered sea temp, overcast skies but with very high visibility.

i hope i am completely wrong, aching to sail all the new boards!

Yep, pretty if you plan to be in Vietnam the next few days, anywhere else in the region looks as a lucky draw...

You could be lucky.
Leo reports from Kuantan that the cows are laying down and the goats are fornicating.
Sukhdev will be able to confirm with 100% certainty that there will be wind.
Go for it.

GW,

all i can confirm is that my forecast for today was dead wrong (thankfully) and that i had a great afternoon on the formula 158. i'm in love again, what a great board! legs feel like limp noodles. A bit underpowered on the 9.3 nitro but beats sitting on the beach.
