I would like to thank the gentleman who stripped down my formula boom, helped himself to the boom head and took the uphaul line.
My Maui sail boom head was swapped for a damaged one, screws are missing (WTF?) , and the closing rope (really???) is broken.
he was kind enough to leave the outhaul on the boom, thank you to him.

All of this at PA... and given the number of MS formula boom around, this person knows exactly who he was "borrowing" from.

I guess there will always be rotten apples... I just did not expect to find one within our windsurfing community.

Matt

PS: be kind to return the correct boom head and the uphaul. You can drop the items exactly where you took them.

Matt, you seem to be very sure the person is a "she".

Matt, I too was once this naive. But our windsurfing community is just like any other community. While I've yet to identify a thief, I have been a victim, and I've also met many other kinds of "bad apples"; we have some rude, arrogant @##holes, snobs, psychos, racists, a con artist, you name it...even a few kitesurfers...but we have lots of "good apples" as well.

Good luck getting your equipment back. Hope you kick some butt!

To be honest.

I doubt you'll be able to find the culprit or retrieve the missing parts.

I actually managed to lose my Board. Yes a mistral board. Till today i have yet to have a clue where it went.

Latest loss includes a downhaul system. So yeah. Nevertheless good luck.
