257 kilometres in the Atlantic Ocean in just over 10 hours on a windsurfer. That's the feat of Olympic windsurfer Joao Rodriguez. http://www.rsxclass.com/component/content/article/1-latest-news/747-joao-rodrigues-160-miles-of-open-ocean-crossed

It's taken "Team K.Y." about TWO YEARS to sail from Mersing to Tioman...with no end in sight!  Wink

SO, you set the whole thing up?  Anyway, it was 38mph who gave me the idea   Wink

On the topic of endurance, I was going to mention Tasmania's Dave Morehead, who once windsurfed 500km in a single day.  Not across the ocean, mind you; just back and forth around his local spot.  He's also done 45 knots, for those who are still impressed by speed.  Wink
