www.reefretreat.com

there are not so many kitists at this end of the beach.
If you (she) needs pedicurists, macdonalds, hair dressers, bakers and fine wines, you need to be on White Beach. But at this time of year the wind is on the other side........
Stay in the middle perhaps ?
But no hotels in the middle !!!!!!!!

This might help

Another option is the hotels at Station 2 which is only a short walk to Bulabog beach.
You would most likely be going to the restaurants at the Mall (Station 2) for lunch and dinner anyway.

The Starboard Centre is at the Reef Retreat.
Very friendly staff.
Better to reserve a board in advance unless you don't mind trying out different boards.

PS: Bring along booties, there are sea urchins in the bay.

Are you sure it's going to be windy next week? Have you checked the forecast?

Hey Matt,

I hope this reply is not too late. I would recommend that you stay in any resort either in Station 1 or 2 of White Beach. This is where most of the nice resorts are. (Station 1 - high end, Station 2 - mid-range and Station 3  - budget).

Of course, if you want more peace and quiet, stay in Station 1 or 2. Eating and partying won't be a problem as the whole 4km stretch of White Beach is riddled with good restaurants and bars. I suggest you try the famous "mango shake" by Jonas. Really refreshing.

Windsurfing action is on the other side of the island - Bulabog beach. I suggest you go to Greenyard Neil Pryde center owned and operated by Nenette Graf.

As long as you go out during high tide, you don't have to worry too much about urchins. If ever you fall off your board, just make sure you bend your knees or spread your legs as you hit the water.

If there's not enough wind, you can always try the "paraw" - their local sail boat. For your shopping needs, I suggest going to the flea market at Station 3 where your wife can check out little trinkets and other souvenir items at affordable prices.

Hope you catch the wind while you're there. Have fun!
