4-6 march 2011
Penang swimming club

formula, rsx, raceboards & bic techno

recreational slalom sailors are welcomed

wind: 10-20 kts


Start planning for this event now.

Some sailors are planning to go a few days early for 'training'.

u can register personally at the race control in Penang.



as for interested sailors with families and friends, u can stay at the nearby 'official' hotel, Copthorne Hotel, about RM200< per nite.

spent my wkend in Penang last week.
was blowing as usual from usual direction.

so good that Penang mafia hit unsuspecting fishing line at full speed.

slamed and broke a mastfoot.

in the end, drowned 3 bottles of red wine.

sch team or national team, just contact me...the sooner the better.
already, we have sailors from S'pore, M'sia, Thai, France, Argentina and maybe Seychelles and Australia.

about 10> pax are already making the trip.
expecting 1 of the largest turnout for this race (with families in tow).

some info on making the trip.

Friday - Marathon course (unforgettable experience)
Sat/Sun - full day course raceing.

send gear by train on Monday morning (a must) and collection on Wed morning.
try to arrive early for training, most of us will arrive on Wed morning.
ample of hotel rooms.

pack on sunday after event, send back by train again on Mon morning.

Wind has been building up in Penang.

10-13 knots almost everyday.
hope by next week, we can get 15knots >.

usual direction is back in Penang today.

blew about 12-18 knots, started from 245pm till 6pm.

shortboards were out
