hi Puma,

im using a VMG fins as so are some the top hardcored Formula sailors from PA.
the fin is as good as those established brands like Debochiet etc...

the feeling is felt immediately from those conventional stock fins, the custom fins give u more confident and more improvement on sailing.

its good to invest on a good fin.
if u have no budget problem, choose 1 powerful fin for light wind and another for stronger wind.

in my opinion on formula combination, the fin and board factors are 70/30% respectively.

Honestly? I was thinking of buying a new fin too... 70/30... even on a really old board?... 70% on the fin?

hi zinc,

i remembered last year's in one the race, Chris from ManaMana used a really old formula board with a modern fin.
he managed to finish in top 3 overall.

of course, if the board is too obsolete, there's no way the best fin can help in whatsoever ways.

What, nothing to do with the sailor?

the 'sailor' is overrated!

Hi TS, the VMG fin i have and recommended is on occasion abit too powerful for my weight of 70kg, so you might want to discuss with Chris Ting (from VMG) specs that are more suitable for your weight

Hi Meng,

Thank you for you advise! I was planning to go for a cheap option, but now I understand the importance of having a good fin.
I'll try my best to go for VMG then.
Cheers and good wind!!
