Something for you next year George?

I just wanted to let eveyone know about the Everglades Challenge, a 300 mile expedition style small boat race down the west coast of Florida. The race starts on March 6th and ends on the Saturday the 13th. I will be the first person to enter the race on a windsurfer, The Expdeition Windsurfer(R). You can learn more about the board at my blog here; http://www.adventurewindsurfing.blogspot.com/

For a while I thought you were talking about yourself, then I realized that you must have been quoting from someone else's message.

Don't be modest Ian.  The north-east came back today with a vengeance.  Looks like it will be the same tomorrow.  Time to dig out that GPS and see if you can claim a bottle of bubbly from George. Smiley

Yes i was there yesterday, my arms about an inch longer as half the time i could not sheet in. Took the GPS out, but not being able to bear away in the gusts or dodge the 2 inch layer of leaves on the water, a measly 26.53k was recorded, about the same that i recorded on the X-380 last year.

Of course we all know who has clocked over 30k in the NE(in the chop) and verified, but that wonderful board now has a new owner, so time to get the new toy up to speed.

Not to worry though, Norman said i can have a drop of his champers when it arrives, i use pint glasses

Oh Christ you wouldnt believe it........
I wrapped it up in  a towel, drove to KL fully intending to give it to Sukdev to bring down to S'P.
Cut a long story short, it never left the car and is now back in Ktn !
However, this weekend I'll give it to Irene and she will take it to KL for another try.
Yes its howling here too.
I suppose my 10 hour crossing of  the Straits of Malacca qualifies me for the EVerglade thing ?
Oh bugger me that was 20 years ago.......perhaps I'm not quite as fit now.
