Time for a new thread; I know it's hard to let go, but sometimes it's the best thing to do...

No, seriously, we had 3 hours of good SW today, not a storm, totally out of the blue...
...Southerly wind in Penghu -- but not Mui Ne? But 10kts isn't considered "wind" in Penghu is it?
Sounds like the Wind God was on a CNY drunken joyride, hope it lasts...oranges, anyone?

You may be disinterested to learn that in ancient Greek mythology the god of the southwest wind was Livos. In the region of Methana in southern Greece they used to perform a ritual in which a cock was sacrificed to banish Livos and the destructive rain that he brought.
If the NE really is over and we’re looking now to the SW, then, just to be on the safe side, could I please ask that you all refrain from sacrificing any cocks.

All hail Livos! God of the SW! Let us bow down and worship the one true god! (until the next NE, anyway)
Thanks, FK Phil!

What do you mean by "awesome"? Let's have some knots. I know you don't have a wind speed meter built into your head like Norman has, but some intelligent guesses would be helpful.
