4meter weather here,

Sounds like hard work, Pascal.  Perhaps you should come to Singapore for a holiday?   Wink

Cant wait for the SW, sick of this nasty gusty, choppy mess.

Sea and wind conditions seem to get worse and worse each year. For sure Singapore will never be number 1 for windsurfing, nor a windsurfing hub

Today's conditions at PA were not for the faint-at-heart. By the way, I saw you leave early Ian.  Grin

"Work"?  What's that?

Don't listen, 38mph; we've had a lot of fun this NE monsoon; after a while the chop gets to be kind of fun (hey, it's like Hookipa, only smaller)  and the lulls give you a chance to look around and see where your friends are...

...after the long wind drought, and lots of lousy rainy days when there should've been wind...

Well, what can I say? To a thirsty man, even a glass of Fosters tastes good...well, kind of good...

So, what was it like at PA today, Norman?  I've been looking at the wind speed readings at Changi airport.  16 knots at 12.30pm.  There was a gust of 24 knots at 3.30pm!  I bet you didn't go out with your 8.2m.

I thought you said earlier that the forecast for today was for crappy wind?

Exactly, some people have to work.

Better check the dictionary for "work"

Denis, where were youuuu?

PA was pretty wicked yesterday. I did take out my 8.2 but promptly regretted it, baleked after an hour to swop it for the 7.6. The wind was staccato at first, small powerful blasts that kept you on edge nonstop. Let alone the speedsbumps everywhere. All in, not very enjoyable.

In the arvo the wind patches grew bigger and the wind picked up to 18 kts at times, some peeps say 20. Unfortunately the nasty chop only eased a tiny bit, making it a pretty jarring time out there.

Still, I saw some surfers rip it up on their 101, so I'm sure there was some fun to be had.
