Thanks, Denis...it's not exactly a fast-paced forum, is it?  One visit every few months seems to suffice...

*sigh*

Good wind this Tuesday afternoon...crappy by NE standards but planable for mid-size gear.

It's funny how WindGuru updates it's "forecast" retroactively, isn't it?

When I went to PA soon after 2, it said 4kts for 2pm; this evening at 6pm it was showing 9kts for 2pm, which was a lot closer to the truth...rubbish rubbish rubbish...

Appparently it had been blowing since about 12, if not earlier.   Who knew? Internet readings are so misleading, most of us can hardly be bothered with them.

If only somebody could be there to tell us when it's blowing!  I've offered this honour to Norman in the past, since he's closest, and usually there, but he seems to be too self-interested, won't share the info...?

Love that "11-20 knots" forecast...

"0-20 knots" would be more accurate, but that's what we always assume anyway.

For the past few days, late noon wind using 7m~8.5m sail was fun, much planing near keta. should be similar this friday/sat noon.

Sunday was a bit of a wash-out; mile-high expectations (based on epic charts) but a major let-down in the end, probably due to the cloud cover. Winds were 10-12kts. It was flat, so we all planed a fair bit, but after Super Saturday's sensation, Sunday was not so shiok.

Today, Monday, was better, max 13+, a bit gusty but some venom in the wind patches.

Best we keep mum about tomorrow  Wink
