Anyone know if you can launch at Pasir Ris park? or will the Marine Police call in an air strike.
What about Punggol?

I also harbour the same thoughts before but the water at pasir ris park is not safe for water activities due to high concentration of toxic bacteria... The sea state at punggol area is very flat and definitely good for blasting... The police coast guard may find it difficult to catch up with you if you are fast enough :p

Yes I’ve seen the warning signs up at Pasir Ris but wonder how dangerous the water is; especially are there are still plenty of people going in the water there.

A bit of Google research showed 8% of water samples exceeded  the limit, whereas other Singapore beaches were below 5% and so were rated good.

http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/singaporelocalnews/view/1000798/1/.html

8% (“fair”) is not that far away from 5% (“good”) and it also seems Pasir Ris has always been this way and it’s recent downgrading was due to the WHO limits being tightened.

Obviously I’d prefer not to go into dilute sewage but 8% vs. 5% doesn’t strike me as that much extra risk, so I doubt I’ll be able to resist giving it a go if these NW conditions continue.

Lets hope I don’t come off the water HIV positive with skid-marks down the board rails.

Im sure you guys will be the last group to die due to the waste that gets washed out from the sewage at Pasir Ris cause the 1st group would be the NSC sailors and windsurfers. Everytime it rains all the nonsense that gets washed out of the monsoon drain is ridiculous. I do not know why they built a center that is meant for kids next to a sewage.

When the tide is coming up all the dirt will be pushed up towards the causeway, so the water will be as clean as anywhere else.  Do not go during low tide.  It can get very muddy and dirty.
