Please note:

- Minimum of 6 entries for all classes.

- Racing is also open to all longboards (including Kona, Phantom, IMCO, anything with a daggerboard!) as there will be an Raceboard Open category if there're sufficient entries.

- Warning signal for first race of each day is at 1pm.

good news, there won't be any late payment penalty of $48 (for overseas competitors).

but do register early at NSC ($32) so that they can prepare the score sheet.

PA sailors can launch from PA site.

Raceboarders and Formula sailors are welcome to join this fun race on this coming weekend 25/26 July 2009
1st possible start will be at 1pm on sat/sun.

Confirmed oversea team are Thailand (SEA Games gold medalists and AYG medalists and Malaysia (led by Penang 'Kashy' Mafia) and possibility the Indonesia team too.

if u ask me about the wind, i think it will be a planing race...

Would love to race but don't know how to.  Probably end up with alphabetic scores e.g. DNS, OCS, DSQ if I join in the race.
Any chance of some training being organised at PA?

Hi tpfaok,

Are you on longboard or formula? Or Clubboard?

There's a small but growing group of us at PA who are on longboards and we try to sail together / train on Sunday afternoons from time to time. You're most welcome to join us!

For Formula, there's also a group comprising PJ, Meng, Tim, Thye, Harold, etc who sail together from PA on weekends.

As for clubboards, PA organises "triangle course" windsurfing from time to time for beginners.

So, depends on what equipment you're on, am sure there's a group to train with  Smiley

Cheers!

tpfaok,
Why so timid ?
If you know what dns dsq etc is, you already know enough to race !!
At the 1985 Singapore Open when I didnt know what these things meant, the wretched OOD
told me to protest somebody who ran into me at the start (long story)  or he would protest me ..........Huh
Get on the board and race, you will learn quickly.
Good luck !

after a disappointing Sat, Sun brought some good southwest wind thru out the races.

all of us especially the formula guys had 5 planing races.

everyone went home happy and sun burnt.

i'm sure the non-racing folks at PA had fun too.

some pics taken from the event.
