Sorry if this gets off-topic.

Bonjour quentin, et bienvenue sur le forum.
There is no decent wave to surf in Penang, but the wind can be pretty sick at times. Be wary though because the current is not so forgiving especially during high tide. There's a legendary windsurfer resides over there along with his members in a club near Tanjong Bungah. Last time I was there a 60-year old Germany guy hangs out with them for a couple of months because he loved the place & Batu Feringghi so much.

Cheers

Hi quentin. Great to hear you would love to come over to SG, but do be warned we suffer from wind droughts consistently therefore slalom sailing would be almost rare. Wave sailing wise it would be best if you look at Bali, Indonesia or  Mui Ne, Vietnam.

In SG the period we do get wind is during the monsoons, however even though we anticipate their arrival the winds seems to like to arrive later then expected this few years.

Anyhow i really hope for you to come on over and join us here and teach us a trick or two.
Kudos.

Hi friend,
We EX Australians call them "mad Frenchies".
Lovely people, lovely country.
Welcome to Malaysia.

Our event is getting closer every day.
Major sponsors coming up slowly.
ProActive Sports of UK will be the TV producers.

It's still a "maybe" but judging by the number of views, it'll be a success.
I'll expect our friend in Penang to arrange for a dozen more Frenchies to come over; and mad Dutchies, and mad Deutschies and others also....
cheers

Sorry for delay in updating.
Originally scheduled for late July/early August, we are forced to defer.
The credit squeeze has affected sponsors' budgets.
We have only around 40% of required funds.

We are now planning for later in the year but still no definite dates.
I will inform as soon as things are more definite.

Apologies to all.
The only good news is that it will be worth waiting for.
