Hi all,

My hand get painful when the wind a little bit strong.

Do you think wearing a glove going to help here? If yes, what kind of glove should i buy?

It gets better with time.. If youre a girl.. Well... You just gotta choose between smooth hands and enjoying windsurfing..

I was gonna say similar thing, but I believe we're all guilty at some point at the thought of wearing gloves. They do help. I used gloves myself for dinghy sailing, but windsurfing is just not that hand savaging that you need to wear em. If your hands are hurt so much after every session that means you're using your hands too much instead of your bodyweight to hold the sail.

Besides, i always enjoy telling newbies this - When you have your palm as thick as mine, then maybe you can plane. Wink

dei...wats w d gloves man...??

well if u hv 2..get d ones meant 4 wakeboarding...

not 2 bulky...& slips on pretty well...

& for heavens sake..get use 2 d pain man...

its only natural...if u still want nice hands...use LOTION lor aft each windsurf session...

Depends why it’s painful.
If blisters / sore then gloves may help.
If tired muscles in your hand or wrist then in my experience gloves make it worse.

It seem you may be too tends up and grip the boon too tight. Gloves may make it worse witht hands cramps up earlier if you are not use to the grip different.

I avoid using thump to grip the boom (unless it's really windy), instate my fingers form a hook and I balance the sail pull, against my weight on the harness. The other possible problem may be the position of your harness line and or sail setting in windy condition
