Windsurfing is a serious sport.

Therefore I have to be seriously honest with you.

Windsurfing is not cheap. A brand new carbon mast alone can set you back more than a thousand ringgit. A whole set of the least branded windsurfer could cost you up to RM3000. It sounds ridiculous. But is it worth it?... continue reading

Hey George. Nice to hear from you again.
Sorry I wasn't there when you left, just heard from the kiters day after.
Look forward meeting you again.

Foot Position - How Not to Fall

During my earliest attempts at windsurfing, I have made several mistakes that slow down my progress. One of it by not considering where I position my feet on the board. i  read a few windsurfing books and these tips are in there if you read attentively. your illustration makes it clear and easy to visualize. i am new (abt 4 months)but i consciously practise this feet position when i windsurf. it helps and you quickly move off the beach. i find the easy up-haul a great aid especially when you are tired.

Thanks for the feedback Ong.Sometimes I don't really care where I put my front foot, the back foot is more important as it keeps the board flat. Makes a huge difference for early planing.

As far as I remember I originally posted it in the beginner's section, but somehow it ended up here. I must be a bit dizzy when I posted it I guess, or the moderator moved it here. Either way I think good stuff ( if it really is) will find its own way to eager readers. Smiley
