hi,

how long have u been windsurfing ?
what difficutiles are u getting ?

if u have sailed the longboard long enough, u should be ok on shortboard decently.

if u are sailing at PA, u can approach many of the shortboarders for tips, and u insist on paying a fee, buying beer will be good enough  Grin

TOW is more important than lessons.

On the technical side I think the guys here are great. Also you can checkout Guy Cribb's INtuition.

Try contacting "The Windsurfing Factor". They are a small group of windsurfers at PA providing lessons for those that wish to progress after the beginner classes.

Hi elz,

Glad to know you are well into the world of shortboards  Cheesy
You can view our team profile at: http://www.windsurfing-factor.os3.sg/

FYI, we are currently trying out using portable two-way radio transceiver (aka walkie talkies) for our courses.
This is after suggestions and comments from our instructors that they are unable to keep up with the participants when they start blasting off! I believe the walkies are also being used in some of the courses overseas.
Initial feedbacks are very promising as instructor and student engagement can be done in a more consistent manner. We hope to implement this for all our existing courses by mid-year  Smiley

Till then,
Good winds!

Lessons...??

dude ure the 1st ive heard askin 4 short board lessons...

usually the trend is to PROGRESS slowly...

coz when u dont develop the skills...quite tough...then u get disheartened...

i suggest u PROGRESS slowly...

but if ure too excited & wana beat NGO on the downwind....

then GO TO THE BEACH more often on windy days...

in this sequence....

BEACH START

PICK UP SPEED

HOOK IN...STRAPS ON...

LEAN BACK....

THEN PRAY...!?

thers a saying...IF U HVNT TRIED...U'LL NEVER KNW & LEARN...

ask questions...so many guys at the beach to ask 4 advise...

Get hold of Thye/Rachel/PJ...or even LOH...NORMAN...YEAGER....KER WANN....

all these guys CHAMPS...!?
