A very special Thank You! Cheesy to the organizers and sponsors. A great time doing 8 races in overpowering condition pushing the body to new limits. When the horn sounded , all the pains in the body just disappear going for the marks . Lots to learn from every race. Never have so much fun in racing before.

I enjoyed the slalom races so much I think we should have a few more informal ones before the monsoon finally says goodbye.  Not difficult to set up.  Anyone else keen?

We can try to take some buoys out there having our own races. I am sure if we do it impromptu we will get more people to join in.

thats a great idea PJ. the noobs (me!) can learn alot just by mimicking what the better sailors are doing. count me in

You are most welcome to join us, In fact we are always doing that. 2 wkends ago, we took the NSC buoy and Kita forming 2 perfect gybe marks for doing figure of 8. Thye , Aussie John and myself will having our own slalom fun on formulas. You need to give us the indication when we come close because we do not wish to create misunderstandings that we are trying to overtake.

it is a pity that some of the Formula guys missed or avoided the S'pore open.
everyone racing had so much fun not because of gear superiority but due to 'cat and mouse' wind...
1 missed gust, u are stranded with the back packs...

i always believe that by racing more regardless of standing, there will be much self improvement..

Been a long while since we've a nice race, it sure sharpen our focus and get us back in tune to the Wind and Current.

Remember lamp pole 150, 60 and XXXX F2 speed crossing, those were the days where people join races for the fun and after race parties, the atmosphere was one of friendliness and comment interest.

It's encouraging to see Adeline, June, Chong and a few others first time racer having a go at it and enjoying the race, more people people is needed for the average slalom and formula sailors are fast reaching 40s.

And thanks all the officer and helpers for making the event happen.....ing
