hotel room cost between RM120 to RM250> per nite
race fee = RM 75

makan = your own budget

whole windsurfing trip = priceless

u have to make your own passage up, most of us are driving up with gear strapped on top of the cars.

De Rhu is next to the race site but has no beer........
Best place is Duta Village about 10 minutes walk down the beach.
Rates about RM 100 per night.
Swiss Garden is next to Duta Village but rates are a fair bit higher.
DR is about 0.00187 stars
DV is about 2.776251930 star
SG is 4 ish stars.
Balok beach is a "special" place for many of us and well worth a visit.
Thats not to say that the East Coast of S'pore is not special.
I've got many good meemories of events there as well !!
Happy Days.

If I remember correctly Mr Wan Tahir said it has been canceled because of the lack of funding.
He can't afford to hold sub-par event because the crowd would complain. But if you ask me all I need is a few buoys on the sea.

Yes officially cancelled. Something about the tourism board screwing up with the funding. Sorry for the bad news. Have fun in Penang.
