Is there a Formula  class ? Pls at least allow the formula to take part in the slalom, maybe to have a different start from the rest. Looking at the condition for last 2 years. The wind here is too light to hold a proper slalom event.

Message from Organiser (Rachel) ;

Dear Windsurfers,

Please refer to the attached NOR for this weekend's race, kindly organized by PA Water Venture. Registration dateline is 1 Aug, Fri, for the early bird discounted fee.
Categories of racing include Slalom Open, Raceboard, RS:X Open & Youth, Formula Open and the Club board (6m, 5m and 4m).
Slalom will be run separately from the Formula. Prizes up for grabs include brand new 2008 sails, equipment & accessories. We
have also decided to throw in 3 prizes for a Lucky Draw for non-prize winners, the top lucky draw prize is a brand new 2008 sail.
Total of 2 brand new 2008 sails to give away. More details can be found at the Race Noticeboard on Saturday under Amendments or Sailing Instructions.

The Windsurfing Shop is sponsoring products from Naish, North, Fanatic, Mistral and Uranium. Teva and Dakine are generous co-sponsors
in this event as well. This event is proudly organized/sponsored by PA Water-Venture.

Registration fee includes a gorgeous event T-shirt, Sunday lunch and a sumptuous prize-giving dinner. This is a fun event where we get together and windsurf with a purpose. Banish any thought that 'I'm not good enough', 'Racing is not for me', 'I'm not a Pro'...we've heard this for decades and racing is meant for one to 'Race against myself-to improve, learn and overcome'! Racing is also an opportunity to watch how better sailors do it. Racing puts windsurfers of all standards on the same start line for the purpose of fellowship, sharing and bonding.

This said...see you this Saturday! Cheers!

It's strange to me why no races are held during the NE monsoon season?

All races held in Singapore are to be under 8 knots of wind
for safety reasons. Life jackets are also compulsory.

NE winds is too strong for our liking. We will rather sit
around the beach and suntan.  Wink

Happy National Day to all!!!
