I just completed the beginner course at Water Venture.

I was wondering if anyone wanna go down this saturday 5th July and practice ard 10 plus?
Feel a bit more comfortable with some kakis practicing together... haha..

Plus dunno if i can remember the pointers taught during the class ... it was fun though but tiring.
I think need to train up hehehe...

Cheers!

Welcome to Bluefinz and windsurfing.

U need lots of water time to be better...

If there's no kaki, it's ok to sail alone, but do let the office know when out at sea.
Windsurfing is like the more u sail, the more merrier u will be.

there are many experienced sailors at PA who are readily offer good advice if u approach them.

happy sailing

Dear Troy,

Hope you have enjoyed the basic windsurfing course Smiley

There are many experienced sailors around the club on the weekends.
If you have any problems, I am sure there will be help if you ask nicely.

Alternatively, do join us for a preview of our weekly clinics conducted
for beginners after their basic course (http://www.windsurfing-factor.os3.sg/)

Cheers and good winds!

Hi

Thanks for the welcome and YES also enjoyed the basic winsurfing course but it was tiring.  Think i'm definately out of shape hehehe...  (Definately need to start jogging  Grin)
Yes, will sign up for the clinics, if i'm not wrong shd be the last weekend of the month, i think?

Just wondering, besides self-practising and attending the monthly clinics, are there any other types of courses available that i can sign up for after completing the basic windsurfing course?  I think it would be good to spend "quality water time" practising the technics correctly.  Cause it is rather difficult to undo bad habits once set, if you know what i mean.

Cheers!

PA Water Venture Level 1 windsurfing course is nonsense and crappy which is a almost a sure -guarantee to make most people give up windsurfing after they embarked on the course. This is mainly due to the frustration they encountered within the 6 hrs of training. Anyone been through the course should know what I am saying. I wonder how level 2 course can actually help the beginner progress. hmm..  Roll Eyes

Can PA Water Venture Senior management review the teaching methodology / training syllabus of their basic course??  I feel that we should be adopting RYA windsurfing standards and implement some of their "Fast Foward" teaching techniques to teach eager newbies the right skill set from the start. This will certainly attract and retain more new blood into the sports.  But of course, we must have good instructor to begin with too.
