hahaha Cheesy

well the hyper is a 105, so a 10 is really border line... will definitely need a bigger fin than the standard one. I was still thinking that a Formula would be faster/earlier to plane than my hyper. I don t feel like staying on the beach when the formula  guys are fully powered! maybe 11m + formula board will beat my hyper... any thoughts?

All true.
I suppose it comes down to how much money you want to spend and what sort of sailing (racing ?) you are doing.
If you said "I only want one board" then I'd suggest the Hyper.
It ought to be faster than a Formula but perhaps the experienced Formula sailors can comment on that ?
It will (comfortably) cover a broader range of conditions than the Formula
If you said "I only want 2 boards" then a Formula + an 80-90 ltr Slalom (freeride, wave or whatever tickles your fancy) would be the way to go.
So, there will be a Hyper for sale ?? !!
Good luck.

Based on yr weight + Formula + 11m + correct light wind technique ,
You will be the 1st to plane at PA ( Singapore ). There is race end July.
Do try to join us before that,

I used to have decent light wind technique using the hyper as it was my only  board (from 11knots to 25/30 knots on very flat water).  I know have a bit more cash than before so i will make sure I have the right board(s) + sails ;-)
I will most likely start with my current set up (hyper + 7m + 9m) and if i am on the beach too much then I ll splurge and get a formula + 11m! But most important I ll have to get windsurfing fit first as living in London is not helping...
I am also quite tempted by a smaller slalom board, say 80liter, for the very windy days. not sure it is worth it, maybe the hyper can be that board.

I won t be there by July but will be in in October most likely for 2weeks. Let s make sure we go for a drink at least!
