WSSRC Ratifies ALBEAU's Outright Speed Record
The World Sailing Speed Record Council has ratified the Outright World
Speed Record of 49.09 knots set by Antoine ALBEAU of France. Antoine
ALBEAU (FRA) set the new outright world speed record mark on the purpose
built canal in Les Saintes Maries de la Mer, France http://www.sailspeedrecords.com/content/view/81/3/

Kitesurfers have been hitting speeds in excess of 51 knots recorded on their GPS, but not over 500 metres and not recognized by WSSRC, yet.

Another contender for the Outright World Speed Record is a sailing contraption called the Macquarie Innovation.

At this rate it looks like Antoine's speed record may not hold out for very long.

I've got a bulk order for WotRockets going in.
If we order about 10, I can get the price down to about £ 50,000 each.
So flog the old planks, kitchen doors etc and get one.
We'll show Tony Elbow who is fastest !!!
Sorry, its on boards.co.uk or sail-world.com

WotRockets got some dodgy construction, a bit like the windsurf boards of old. Think you could re-negotiate the price down a quid or 2

Looks to me like an old Div 2 hull with a hood put on the top.
