Hi Sukhdev, I think I read in the Starboard Forums that you guys already have a 2004 FF158 in stock. I'd be interested to know your first impressions. I have a 2002 FF138 and I'm thinking about upgrading. For my weight, the 2004 FF138 is a better match, so if you get a chance with one as well, let me know!

TJ,
I've managed to get some time on the board as well as made a detailed photo gallery of it. I'll post my impressions and the gallery late today (I hope). Some nice suprises about the hull..more about that later.

Great job! Thanks! This initial review will certainly be a big help in making that final decision to get one. Cant' wait to see the additional reviews...

Hi Sukhdev This is Michael from SAFRA. The FF158 really looks cool...your opinion needed, I am now sailing the Formula 155 with a 9.3 GTX. Great combination and am very comfortable with it. After reading your articles and looking at the pics/review,I would like to buy either the 138 or 158. Which would you recommend? I am about 70/71kg and would like to still use the 9.3 GTX. Any chance of a trial this weekend?

Mike, having seen you sail i'm inclined to suggest ff158. will give you a call to discuss.

will be interested to see the new formula. Svein says there were 26 prototypes. Hmmm... 5cm shorter and 2cm wider o.f.o and "wider with a shorter flat section" ... I suspect they chopped 5cm off the back and move the the finbox, straps and masttrack forward 5cm and added some extra thickness. time will tell:-)

Sukh, what do you think is max sail and fin size for FF138? And how do you recommend FF158 or FF138?
