Leona, Mr “Fix it” here a.k.a. Ben,
Firstly thanks for the video posting which kept me entertained for a good 20 minutes while at my desk on Monday, secondly thanks for the mention which brought a smile to my face, and thirdly for the above reading!
Now with regards to the ‘testing of the motorized toy cruiser boat’ I would like to press home that the boat is in fact ‘an offshore power boat’, just scaled down a little! Should be doing some more ‘testing’ this weekend and if anyone wants a go please come over and just ask…its entertaining for between 5-10 minutes but does get a little repetitive!
As you say I am currently awaiting a rack over at PA and have been on the list for a couple of weeks now which has given me some time on the shore spectating and watching how it’s done! I have met during the last couple of weekends at PA, many friendly and fun characters who have been great at listening to my ramblings and answering my many questions along the lines of; what board and why, what sails and why, new or second hand, where to store and how to speed up the long awaiting queue, who’s going to teach me, how much wind is there, and what about kite surfing which was suggested by you Leona!!
As you say kite surfing is the new ‘cool’ sport of choice and it seems to be huge around the world with more and more people trying it out and booking holidays to learn etc… Having researched a little and spoken with a few ‘experts’ (ha),= I have made my decision and I am very keen and excited about the up and coming purchase of some windsurfing kit as soon as possible. I leave the kite surfing to you, those with stronger backs and a ‘cooler edge’!
I have been told that there should be some new board racks built which will hopefully be ready by early next month and allow some of us ‘newbie’s’ and you ‘old pros’ or ‘not so old pros’ to store some more boards and I look forward to joining you on or in the water! I can’t wait to get going and am looking forward to taking on the ‘learning curve’ with fresh enthusiasm and in some much warmer waters than the UK!
See you on the weekend!
‘Fix it’ (Ben)

Hi Ben
Great to have you on board. Feel free to chat with any of the guys at the beach and thanks for sharing the boat which I misnamed. I think the kids would love it. I don't know if you have met Paul Nash who's in Bali right now but I believe the two of you will have lots in common. You should also give Chris Newman a shout when you pass by Mana Mana next to Ski 360. He's a great guy with a great talent for teaching. In fact, he taught me the basic steps of a duck gybe many years ago at Bintan. He's teaching at Mana Mana now. Then there's Robert Teng who does the rescue now at PA, and Richard Toh, Bill, Simon and the rest of the veteran Dolphin gang. Give them all a shout!
Cheers!
Leona

Are you being sarcastic? That's a bit harsh. I'm sure Leona's not so bad once you get to know him.

Great post Leona!
Perhaps you should write the articles instead of me...coz I'm taking forever to do even the 1st one up
Too bad I can't view the video from the office =(
Ben: I believe that the said "new board racks" have been built and left there for a long time. You have to bug & bribe and hustle & hassle the PA staff, otherwise you'll never get ur board rack/sail loft.

there may be some empty racks at PA now.
Monsoon is over and most of the hardcore have brought their speed boards home, leaving only the Southwest monsoon boards.
Go pester the PA staff, otherwise u will be forever right here waiting..
happy sailing
