Typhoon Koni at 45kts, Imbudo at 115knots, two of them battering South east asia at the same time...

Hey, you guys should really use the Wind Taskbar Icon found at http://ulfpettersson.com/wind/wind.asp. It creates a little icon on your task bar that updates the wind speed every few minutes... my greatest discovery to date... now I know exactly when to skip work and go sailing...

Yesterday in Taipei's Tam Sui River, about 1000km from the center of typhoon Imbudo, we had wind measured from the river bank at 36 knots average and 44 knots gust.  Middle of river is well over 50 knots.  Local windsurfers sailed overpowered with sails from 3.3m to 5.1m.
