Could the wind drought be in sight? Today looks promising at least on the chart, hope the past few sweltering days are over.

Satellite derived Sea Surface Temperature show very high temperature all around the water of Singapore. May have an effect on the Gradient of Wind coming down onto the surface. That could had explain the past few sweltering days.

Hi CWG,

I was on the N4 11mē.

7mē sail condition. I think gust up till 15 or 16 kts, not more.

Tahan survivor mode out there...

I think (Thurs) will be same again.

So how was Thursday?
Looks even better at the forecast and wind-stats (still at 8knt when I post this).
Is the wind strong enough for 7.0 slalom gear or is it still formula gear only?

Ulfp
A little wind late afternoon, not really for 7.0
You dont always need a formula to get planning in lightish wind. Lots of good lightweight 8.5's and big freeride boards available these days to get you going, instead of waiting till 04 for NE
Just a thought

Today is not so good as yesterday.

Wind came late about 4pm+ but short duration.
SE direction and seemed that PA had more wind than Seasports.
7m conditions only very short while.Generally for FW conditions.

The only 'positive' thing is that rubbish has returned.
Take care of your hull(nose), fins and catapults !

Happy sailing

Ulf, at your weight consider something wider...3 options in order of increasing water time.

70cm freestyle hull with 7.4 freestyle sail : should be ok from about 10knots upwards.

75cm slalom hull (hyper or exocet) with a 8.x or 9.x : loads more water time

90cm formula with 9.x : every week will have good sailing days.

If you are bored one weekend and there is a light breeze come down and try them out..time we got you out on the water more often than that blue wave board allows you to
