Yes, again we are lucky to have the most important Sponsors for the 10th Monsoon Madness Wind and Kitesurfing Event
In order of importance :
Heineken......to cure headaches
Nivea.........to make us look young
Banana Boat.....so we dont need so much Nivea
OXBOW..........to cover our feeble bones
TDC..............THE MONEY !!!

Dates Jan 18th to 20th at Balok Beach, Kuantan, Malaysia.

NB : Venue is Duta Village Resort with the added attraction of a new Beach Bar run by an amiable Frenchman called Regis (And yes he knows about Bognor!)

DUTA VILLAGE IS BETTER LOCATION THAN LAST YEAR. MORE COSY AND WITH REGIS KEEPING THE HEINEKEN COLD FOR HAPPY HOUR.

MOST INPORTANT : There may be some FREE airline tickets and sponsored Hotel rooms for competitors from Thailand, Indonesia, Phillipines and Vietnam. Please register your names with me ASAP.

send a mail to georgewk21@hotmail.com and leoleow@hotmail.com with your full name, age, gender and passport number.
pls also let me know the best price for the round trip Manila-KL-Manila and on which airline.
Assuming PAL, you'd need to make some arrangements PRIOR departure for some extra baggage allowance.

The 10th Monsoon Madness in Kuantan, Malaysia finished on Saturday with 40 competitors completing 2 rounds of slalom and 2 Masterblasts.
Jesper Orth (AUS-10) was almost unbeatable and won the US$ 1000 first prize. Dan Ellis (GBR52) beat him in the first race. Pawel Hlavaty (POL-11) was 2nd and Dan 3rd. Steve Stratfold (SAS) was 4th with Alan Jackson (GBR53) 5th. Oka Sulaksana was 6th on borrowed kit, Chris Pressler (AUT-226) 7th, Kevin Greenslade (GBR82) 8th, German Paz (57) 9th and Masato Ogawa was 10th and First Master.
Bubble Chambers was 11th, I was 23rd and Eddie Murrell narrowly missed the WOW Prize in 33rd as Nguyen Quoc Hoa from Vietnam came in 38th and thus claimed the Bucket.  Team UK gave a good showing in the local Discos, massage parlours and almost any house of ill repute they could find.
Somebody owes me RM 150 for a broken mirror in the hotel...........
Penang Mafia sailed well to finish 12th overall and 1st Malaysian.
The kite fleet was down but they did several master blasts and a hang time comp.
And the Ladies.....Oh MY. There was much heartache here with both finishing on 77 points but Yuni (INA6) taking it on countback. Rachel thus finshed 2nd.
There was a small controversy over a buoy that "disappeared" in the mist....
Anyway, a big THANKS to Rachel who coordinated the bus under very difficult circumstances.
Please support her further efforts at the Sing Open.

Interesting to see our guys ( mianly the JB GungHos ) are using bigger sailsize than the AngMo Pro. We will have the Sing Open next week, hope to see all you again.
