Hi Sukhdev,

Yes Imback to the same question again, after reading all your correspondance on the subject of a 9m sail on the HS 105, what would be your recommendations, as Im really looking for a grunty sail that wouldnt be embarrased in a freerace eventIserously looking at the Retro 9m like you suggested, wind strenghts would I be expecint to be able to hold onto the sail in? As I have a good twin cam 7.8 which I feel is the sweetest sail size for the hyper.

I know you have sailed many twin cam and fully cambered sails on the board so what do you think??
For a good 9m

allan,

Retro 9.0 2003 rigged for speed (over specs on downhaul, very taut/lean foil, 100% carbon mast) should take up to the high teens if not up to just around 20. The 7.8 would then come in at that point and you should be able to hold the 7.8 up the mid 20s.

Alternative would be GTX twin cam or the YES twin cam you mention. Both would have slightly better top end but the retro would still win on low end.

I'm going to test the 9.3 nitro IV on the hyper, no time yet, and i'll mod the battens to get a tad more low end, I'm curious to see how well it works on the hyper. Hopefully I'll have some news by this weekend.

Allan, rigged up the 10.5 to test yesterday. Meng has been sailing the 9.3 but we haven't tried it on the hyper yet, will be rigging up mine and testing it soon.
