Final results from Penang:

Overall:
1st - Kookiat (THA39)(Exocet, Aerotech)
2nd - Bo (THA1) (Neilpryde, Fanatic)
3rd - Wearn Haw (SIN2) (Neilpryde, F2)

Malaysians:
1st - Levi (MAS1) (Gaastra, Starboard)
2nd - Leong Soon (MAS7) (Neilpryde, Starboard)
3rd - Kenny Heng (MAS3)(Neilpryde, Starboard)

Biggest turnout yet for a Formula event in Penang! Had 20 entries and some tight racing over 2 days. Winds ranged from 0-20 knots! Tried to start some race on both Sat and Sun mornings in the NE winds, but these NE winds gets eaten up by the Seabreezes as the day progresses... eventually we raced in 10-15 knot seabreezes later on in the day... after 3pm! Racing was much closer than what we had in Langkawi. The many others who showed up added to the fun as well! Koo, Bo and myself took bullets but Koo got the extra boost to seal victory towards the end. Upcoming Thai youngster Ake also broke into the top 3 occassionally. 6 races in total but one race was canned following protest by Leong Soon... so only counted 5.

Raceboard was dominated by Thais again, but we had some fresh new faces (from Singapore and Malaysia) and returning faces (Lee Ching).

Next year's prize money purse is promised to be bigger... rumours has it that since Badawi is now Prime Minister, the Prime Minister's Cup will now be resident in Penang and not Langkawi!

Big thanks to Leong Soon and Levi for making the race happen! Full results to be posted soon!
