Bad omen happended to me after the marathon during the Penang Regatta.
My new Neutron 10.5m² mast 'reported sick' before the 1st day of course racing, just as I was getting fond of the new sail.
In the end, a mad rush in rigging up my backup sail Nitro5 11m² thinking it was just 10 kts<.
But it blew more than 16kts> !
A couple of 'mis-rigging' and 'plastic slam', were just a prelude to my severe bout of food poisoning.
In the end, I gave the whole race a miss to recuperate in a nice cosy hotel watching recent Academy awards movies on a DVD.
