I have a funny problem. I tried so far the Neil Pryde mast foot with the black tendon and then the Chinook with the orange tendon. In both cases my tendon don't seem to last, breaks after a few month only but some people tell me theirs can last 2 years? Any idea why?

The chinook tendon joint should last you easily over a year, usually I only change mine when I see vertical small white lines beginning to form.

Where are you storing your mast foot? Urethane, rubber &  some synthetic rubbers are very susceptible to breakdown by ozone, so storing it near electrical machinery or washer/dryers etc can degrade their life alot.

My BOGE pin type mast foot lasted me for three to four yrs plus til it broke when my brother used it... Don't seem to like him very much...    Now using Mr Ben's second hand Chinook joint and hoping it doesn't give up on me soon.
