I don't want to sound "ngeow" but I feel I have to point this out. A buoy is something that floats, hence we have Siglap, Bedok and Padang buoys. Keta is a beacon. It is a structure with legs (4 of them) that are planted firmly on the seabed. So, please, Keta Beacon from now on.
The significance of Keta Beacon is that it marks the end of the sewage outfall pipeline from Bedok Sewage Treatment Works. Don't worry, the effluent is well treated (most of the time). All the same, if you do fall in around there, try not to swallow too much of the water.
