Hi
I will be taking my basic course at PA east coast next week.
After that hope you guys will share some tips,
during my trial and error learning stages
By the way is weekday surfing good for when i do my self-practice after the course?
Just wondering because i wander will they be any safety boats if i get into trouble.
I know weekend there is, how about weekdays, (safety boats or rescue boats) ?
Cheers

The rescue guys are there on weekdays; if you get in trouble I guess they'll come and get you. They don't have a lot to do on those days!
One thing I want to tell you is -- you are gonna fall in the water a LOT and feel like an idiot, but do NOT quit, no matter how frustrated you get....we all went through it (well, most of us)...and sooner or later you will get the hang of it and start progressing. I have a long way to go but I'm finally getting somewhere, and just a few months ago I spent most of my windsurfing time either swimming back to my board or sitting on it waiting to be rescued...and now I'm actually planing, a litle bit anyway. Still falling off, though!

Wait, my mistake - I'm talking about Pasta Fresca. No idea about PA. It looks like an army barracks to me. I hope you like seeing lots of concrete, and taking communal showers...! Have fun!

Hey, thanks for the heads up about
NOT
giving up.
Yeah i basically will spend more time in the water than on the board. That was pretty much the same when i tried wakeboarding
Maybe sometime in the future can surf together, can share and pass trade secrets hehe
Cheers

well mr popeye,
looks like you've had some real bad experience picking up soap in communal showers... try sticking to showering with your swimming trunks on.
oh, perhaps you should just stay where you are...

Mr Spinach,
Keep having your big gay shower parties if you want!
I really prefer the "kampong vibe" of Pasta to the barracks atmosphere of PA... privacy when having a shower is just one of those little extra things which make it better. If you have a choice between: (1) showering alone or (2) showering with five naked men, which would you naturally choose? Pardon me for being an individual. I never did military service, maybe that's my problem...

PS - Please note that I am stating a negative opinion about a PLACE, not a person. You are free to state a contrary opinion, but there's really no need to make personal attacks on each other.
Am I right or am I right?
(We need that monsoon and we need it SOON, before this place degenerates into one big brawl...)
