Hellko surfers araund the World!
I will be in Singapur from 2004 6.-th of januar till 15.-th of jan. I never surfd in my life, but whenn I have seen the mouvie Point Break for a few years ago, surfing bekammes one of my dreams. So, I hope may dream can be realaisd over there by a dream place...
I have a few quetions:
Wich art of surfing I should beginn in this 8-9 days. Wind, wave or kite surfing?
I don't know where to go. Must I go to Sumatra, or I can surf in Singapur, or near to Singapur. For sure I need a sorfingschool to. I don't want to try it alone. It would be good to know, how much are the lession's and the gear renting, or just to know how it's going.
I'm sure that are many other questions thet I must know abaut this projekt, so I will be greatful for any infos, or get the contection with a local expert.
Thank's for everything!
Cya...

Andreas,
windsurfing - easy in singapore,2 places in singapore where you can learn, email me directly when you are here or call and i'll put you in touch with either.
kitesurfing - no local formal instruction, technically its not allowed but..
wave surfing - your best bet for real surf in this region is Bali. Bintan does get some waves but its shore break/short rides, not ideal for learning.
so..its sort of a default choice, best bet is to take windsurfing lessons while you are here. contact us then and we will help you get started.
