The Asian Windsurfing Tour, The Marianas Open, 12-16 February 2003: Robbie Radis wins again & claims the Overall Title!!
The Adecco Asian Windsurfing Tour and the Marianas Open came to a conclusion over the week-end on Micro Beach. For a third day in a row spectators were treated to some great racing action in perfect 15-18 knot winds and flat-water conditions on the lagoon. After a tough battle with Guam's Keichi Kobayashi, Australian Robbie Radis (Neil Pryde, Kinetic) was confirmed as winner of the Marianas Open and with that he clinches the first ever clean-sweep of the Adecco AWT season to become Champion again.

The Adecco Asian Windsurfing Tour, presented by Foster's, began in November in the windy isles of Penghu, Taiwan. In January the Tour then moved to Kuantan in Malaysia before heading straight to Bintan, Indonesia and on to Boracay in the Philippines. Each event presented different challenges and varied sailing ' but only one winner.

Says Radis "I'm really so happy to get this trophy and win the Tour again. The Asian Tour is a fantastic journey we get to visit some beautiful locations and the windsurfing has been incredible this season, we've been so lucky with the wind and the people of course are always fantastic. I've been on Kinetic Boards and Neil Pryde equipment and it's been fully dialled in for a great ride. I've been put under a lot of pressure at each event but I've handled that and come out on top. It's a great feeling and I'll try and repeat it again next year".

The Adecco AWT now takes a break until November when it all begins again in the howling winds of Penghu, Taiwan. We look forward to seeing you next year!!!!

The Adecco Asian Windsurfing Tour, Presented by Foster's, is filmed for international TV broadcast. The series of half hour shows is broadcast in over 100 countries worldwide. The first broadcast worldwide will be on Star Sports in April. The Tour started in Taiwan in November last year and travels through Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines before climaxing in Saipan.
