Oi Meng,

Good to hear from u. Wah yesterday good wind ah (sunday 17/8)! Did u get it! Was on 7.5m2 all day and planing. i think i could have gone down to 7.0 or 6.5 in the morning when it was damned good. sail until i vomit out my nasi lemak.

me not on formulae, cuz i am only 60kg. heh heh. no need formulae to plane. any regular freeride board and a 8.0 to 8.5 is enuf for me on singapore's better light wind days. also i like to chop hop alot, so formulae is not suitable for me. wanted to consider freestyle, but my sail handling damned lousy. i went on a trip to cabarete in the dominican republic & rode some nice big swells there, so now am stoked on wave sailin. waves there very big (head high most times) but slow. tons of fun! i wanna learn how to wave sail now. so now wanna get a onshore wave set for bintan & desaru waves. hee hee.

yah, man will definitely look for u when i next go over to there to check out the demo Evo.

Cheers,

hey guys (this is jus' boss again)

yah, good day sunday.  morning/early afternoon was da best with rolling swells coming in ... sigh.

jus ... u mean u WERE 60 kg right?  lately been seeing some love handles sticking out the top of ur waist harness!!!

as for the formula, jus ... u gotta be a bit realistic if u want to get on the water more keeping in mind our conditions.  it doesn't mean that u can't jump on a smaller board when the wind picks up!   why don't u take a ride on mine one of these days?  sure beats sitting on the beach listening to the opti-parents complaining!!!

oh ... & u CAN chop hop a formula (though it's not nearly as fun as doing it on a >100L/6.0m2 rig)!!!

jus,hwang,

try the 70odd cm shapes; hyper and turbo75 as an alternative to formula. Ben gets immense range out of his hyper125, planes early and sticks to just one sail on it. 2nd board can then be a 90 odd litre board.

then again the new freeformula 138 looks sweet...

Huang,

Hey man, I have been jogging lately. Plus my current state of Lao-Sai today (toilet 5 times today already), I must be under 60kg by now. oh, my love handles are there so that gals will find it easy to grab hold of my sexy body whenever they want me. hahahhaahaaaa. Aiyah, u want to sell your formulae diva, just say so lah. heh heh. Allison is keen on it, since she has nothing to sail now after i put the mast thru the nose of her carve 155.

hey guys,

yah jus ... i wanna sell ANGIE's diva (me, a guy, sail a diva? ... SHHHH!!!) so that ...

sukhdev, will give u a call about a ff138 or h133 as soon as i can con jus into buying the diva for allison.

would love to try the h125 (the h133 doesn't get in til oct right?) but my concern is early planing.  there's one u sold to a guy @ the club i've been meaning to borrow for a sail.  the 2004 ffs also look interesting ... i take it they're almost as early planing as the formulas and much easier to gybe (really rounded tail!)?

Hwang,

the freeformulas are finally really derived from formulas. I just unwrapped the 158 today and it looks great, really rounded tail etc. It may be the best all round board for our conditions for someone who doesnt want to muscle a "proper" formula and the 138 might be the right size.

We have a HS125 over at our side, come over anytime there is wind and you can have a go.

regards
