Hi,

If I were to buy just one custom fin for the Hypersonic what size would you recommend? I aim to use a 7.0 and 8.5 on the board.

Thanks!

for 7.0 to 8.5 something like a 40, or if you are light footed a 38, should work, assuming its a well foiled fin. Point of sail matters too obviously, if you need some upwind work then err towards the bigger one. If you could afford 2 fins then I would go for a 40 for the 8.5 and 36 or 34 for the 7.0.

Hi Craig,
I use a slalom 31 cm fin with my HS and Nitro2 7,0 with great results : the board is flying (faster than 30 knots/h ........... measured with GPS), always great ability to point upwind, no spin out .......... perfect for my size (1,88 - 75 kg).
For the 8,5, the HS will work with the 34 DRAKE stock fin in medium condition for  "speed runs".......but the best size in my opinion will be something around 37/40 cm (as Sukhdev already mentioned ;-)....).
A+
