Look carefully at the Regional Weather Map.  You will see a 20knot fleche directly over Singapore (NW).  Can we really believe the Met Dept?

You paper pushers didn't miss much. Mostly high level winds.  Yesterday it blow a bit lower but very gusty.  Lots of lulls too.  The gust were beautiful though, strong enough to lift me, sail and board off the water (was using a 7.2).  Current was too strong, so when the wind dropped, you drifted downwind.  Unfortunately there were more lulls than gusts so we ended up downwind most of the time and getting back was a nightmare.

PA guys had more constant wind, but goodness knows how they managed to launch or get back in.

Botak, m not too good at judging windspeed, but my guess-timate is that it was around the range of 12-15 kts at its peak. too bad no equipment there.

Hiwindjunkie, m going cherating for da weekend! looks like something coming down from the NE on thurs.
