Quite a few of us hv lost stuff before. I was fortunate to have recovered mine after noticing it wrapped up in someone else's bag!
Anyways, apologies for broaching this unhappy topic after a day of good winds, but thought it'd be timely reminder, as it was for me, to be more careful with our stuff and also watch out for each other's belongings.(thanks, guys at PF!) To thieves and would-be thieves: Keep your disgusting pilfering hands to yourself! It's really despicable and more so since you actually windsurf amongst us. Note that we know who you are and will keep an eye on you.

Hi Adelin
Many thanks for your message. I'm happy for you that you got back your stuff.
I would appreciate it very much if you could name that particular ugly person among us windsurfers. At least we could give him/her some embarrassment.
Thanks one more time to make your case public.
Happy sailing

Uhh.... legal implications from naming someone for doing a criminal act when it hasn't been officially established (eg thru police report etc)? But thanks for letting us know..

Yep, thanks Nik. Concerned abt legal aspects too and don't wanna make this forum a slime fest.
Guy had the cheek to retort (to me): "So you think everything left on the tables at PF belong to u?" after we caught him - quite nasty and upsetting. There are people who are brazen abt stealing, so thought it'd be good to alert the rest to be more careful.
Edgar,pl check your PM.

Sounds like an asshole to retort with that reply. Adeline is gracious not to name that ass0 in this forum.
It would always be good to practise writing your name on the mastfoot, booms and etc.
To PF's folks, please secure your stuff well during the end-Dec international race. It always turns out to be a charity race for me to donate, mastfoot/harnesslines/ harness during that period.

Regarding the "Spirit Of Giving" that occurs at PF during the Dec international races, I would also advise the folks at PA to be especially vigilant.
I have "given" a mast and well as a harness.

Hi Adelin Thank you for the privat mail. IMO you are doing exactly the right thing. It seems to be fair to all parties involved.
I'm very happy do know that your hardcore windsurfers and staff at PF stick together and take care of each other.
We at PA are doing the same and therefore not giving much chances to those few rotten criminals.
In case you read this Mr. M, do not even think of showing up at any of our windsurf spots here in Singapore anymore. Unless you make up for your missbehaviour, show remorse and commit yourself not to do such a thing anymore. In that case you should be given another chance like those inmates I counsel in prison.
To all my windsurf friends I wish you happy sailing in the NE season.

One fellow windsurfer at PA also lost his OP sunglasses last week (day?), taken out from his plastic bag on the storage rack. Earlier this year, his mast was stolen from his rack too, but managed to 'find' and 'retrieved' it. We have to alert each other on the 'thief' activities, by telling each other, not just to keep to ourselves or own group of friend. This is not being unkind, but to keep our right at the very minimum, by watching out for each other and keep each other well informed. We are already kind enough not to make police report or spread around all these wicked acts.

ai yo...i think i should set up a lost and found counter at PA. Lost my mast foot, coins pouch(total 20+ SGD), Toiletry bag, board short, sunglass, cell phone(heng, not yet)& bra bra bra... and these stuff have gone with the wind... Fortunate enough for a absent minded fellow like me still keep my head with me & thanks my buddies who kept my stuff for me when they found it " on the table" & every where i go.. There are many ppl in & out, some of them are not as cool as us, so keep ur stuff in one place, keep valueble stuff like cell phone & money in ur car. if we cought the fellow, wack him/her hard one round b4 report to police okie?

ya.die mother, die father and thier great grand father !!!. I had my 5.0 rigged ready to grap and chiong the sumatra squall any time.and it really came, I run to grap my 5.0. but the boom was not there,I was so pissed off that some MF dare to steal a resident's belonging.I started to search the whole centre and turn it upside down and found my boom was raped of all its other accessories except that MF who stole it could not use it as it was too short for his sail, and he dare to hang it next to his fucking long board.I could have killed him if he was there that day!!.but the club manager pour so much ice on me to cool me and assured me that he will sort it with the MF and until today he still would not let me know who is that MF who robbed my wind.

Well, if you want to know the whole story, I spoke to Adelin and here it is... she found her downhaul wrench preciously wrapped in a towel, in a knapsack. She knew it was in the bag because the bag was too small and part of the wrench was sticking out. The wrench is clearly identifiable and unique because it was hand-made by Ben Jr. She doesn't ACTUALLY know who owns the bag, but when she asked around, a young man said it was his. She doesn't know the name of this guy either, but she did hear someone call him "Lawrence". So you see, Adelin and EK9, there is no accusation, but just merely stating what I heard. I wasn't there, so it's merely hearsay from me too.

dear sailors,
i share your anger and MF thing about the thefts at PA and PF. it is sad that scums resorted to this way.
good to know that Adelin found her gear back after that bugger was caught red-handed but apprently unrepentant. i have yet to see the thief (newbie at PF) but i'm sure PF robert and gang will 'CCTV' on this guy.
hope PA will start to 'CCTV' too.
the festive (Monsoon) seasons is coming soon. do watch out your belongings and of course, watch out for stranded sailors out there who may need to rescue back.
do tone down the 'heavy' words, this is a public forum and some house rules etc...
start preparing for the NE soon, i think it will be blowing by early Dec.
Happy sailing
